You feel the shivers running down your body
You can’t breathe properly
You can’t sleep properly
You can’t eat properly
You find it difficult to concentrate
Like a part of your body is torn away
You keep opening the messages
Keep stalking that person again and again
Talking in your mind, imagining conversations that would follow
You want to get angry, but you don’t because love overtakes
You want to help the other person
The other person doesn’t want to take your help
You want to help yourself by letting go
But the heart is hopeful. It desires.
When you come out of it, you realize
How shallow you became
How relieving it is to be out of it
How blindsighted you got
But you come out of it getting bruised somewhere
It becomes difficult to hold in desperation
The dimensions don’t match
You try being nice, you are seen as weak
You try to push hard, well that never works out
Just that once you’ve given enough, you feel exalted
No more qualms for not trying, you face defeat
It calms you.
